Buy a separate USB cable
The device did not work at all at first. Troubleshooting led me to the included USB cable. I used one from another device and Viola, it worked. Tried a defective USB cable on another device, doesn't work. I think the included cable is for charging only and doesn't transfer data, but I won't test it further. Now it works with a different cable and I'm happy.
