I did a little research on "personal fans" once it became clear that summer is definitely here. With a very flexible neck band and a reasonable price, the Riya Neck Fan was my choice. If you add light, just for fun, and aromatherapy (yes, he has one of those; check the back of the box for a diagram showing the location of the "aromatherapy box"), I was convinced. Not that I've ever needed aromatherapy or lights if the person was still home after dark. I just liked the joke. I also knew that my family would be jealous of me, so I immediately ordered 4 of them. That's right, 4. I waited about 2 weeks after they arrived and were distributed before leaving a review to make sure one didn't break on first use. None of the four did. The thing works as intended. It has three speeds and a flexible neck strap allows the user to adjust the two small fans to their desired angle for maximum exposure. Three of my family gifts are very happy with this purchase and so am I. In the evening when it arrived I fully charged it, hung it around my neck on the lowest level, lay down on the couch and fell asleep. I woke up four hours later and it was still going on. It's not noisy at all. You can wear it while walking, cycling or working in the garden. You can wear it if you live with someone who is always cold and asks you to turn off the air conditioner. Sitting on the back porch was nice on a warm summer evening. Hm. I wonder if the reading light can be used? I am not sure. I will try that. Just make sure your hair is pulled back because you don't want it to get caught in the fan.
