I do a lot of DIY projects without a degree - it's well received, I find out what I need to do and do it. I've been making art my whole life and went to art school. However, I never learned macrame, knitting or anything like that. I love macrame and when I saw this set I wanted to try it. The cord is good, the wooden accessories are good, etc. This is a good set for beginners. However, I don't think the instructions are very clear. The first knot is pretty clear, I got it. I don't understand the rest. I still give it five stars because the quality is there and because I have the internet if I want to do more research and find things out. But they need more detailed instructions. Nicely packaged. I can just give this to my daughter who is really talented when it comes to weaving, knotting etc. It might turn out to be more her speed than mine. But nice, would make a great gift. Very well packed.
