Ideal for drawers USPS

These beautiful locks are perfect for USPS community mailboxes. We have five rented rooms and replace the lock with every new tenant. All the boxes in the different complexes have the same lock, so it's at least up to the regional standard. My wife and I rent apartments and we always buy these locks for three reasons. 1) They're less than half the price if you buy them at Home Depot or Lowes. 2) Unlike some cheaper versions, you can copy these keys at Lowes or Home Depot. 3) They always fit properly in USPS boxes. Important Tips: When removing the original lock, pay attention to the orientation of the lock. You want the inner end where the locking lever attaches to be in the same position as the original. (It is usually offset one direction to the left or right, not up or down.) Do not fully seat the retaining clip when installing the lock for the first time. It's a very tight fit and if you position the lock incorrectly it will be very difficult to remove. Just press on it so it stays in place well enough for testing. If everything goes smoothly, insert the clamp all the way in. There are 5 different holders included to suit your particular type of mailbox but rather than play with this I have found that in most cases the lock will fit the latch. same position and the original locking lever fits perfectly (since it was there from the start).
