Don't call a locksmith, you can do it!

My mailbox lock was broken and the door was wide open, but the postman still delivered the mail. Last time we lost the key and I paid the locksmith $100 to get it out. He just changed the lock and gave us new keys. This time I decided to see if I could do it myself. Oh my god, yes you can! You will need a screwdriver and pliers. The longest part was inserting the lock backwards and not being able to fully engage the lock to close the door. Once I figured it out after trying each bar, everything

Does the job best in Mailbox Accessories and Hardware

Prime-Line S 4140 Mailbox Lock works as advertised. Inserted immediately without any problems. All my negative comments are related to MY mailbox and not due to the mailbox lock. Let's go deeper with that. So, like I said, installation is pretty easy. I used a wrench to pull the locking latch out and used the wrench handle to insert a new clip (because I was too lazy to pick up a hammer). This lock opens counterclockwise but my old one opens clockwise. I just have to get used to it. I also hadโ€ฆ

Ideal for drawers USPS

These beautiful locks are perfect for USPS community mailboxes. We have five rented rooms and replace the lock with every new tenant. All the boxes in the different complexes have the same lock, so it's at least up to the regional standard. My wife and I rent apartments and we always buy these locks for three reasons. 1) They're less than half the price if you buy them at Home Depot or Lowes. 2) Unlike some cheaper versions, you can copy these keys at Lowes or Home Depot. 3) They always fitโ€ฆ

A good replacement for USPS cluster mailbox locks from the 90's, at least for a while.

I bought this lock to replace a worn out 1994 "HUDSON" mailbox. The keys were so worn that they had to be shaken in the lock to open them, and no one could make a key for it. it worked. This Prime-Line S 4140 lock was the closest to the original I could find. The lock body is identical to my original but the face is about 1/8 inch smaller in diameter. It fits well but you can see the ring around the new lock face where the original lock face kept the sun from fading. paint on the mailbox. Also,
