No big deal... best in French presses

Update 21st November: I am changing it to 4 stars. This thing grew on me after a while. Still a little pricey with some design flaws but I like it now. We just had to figure out the ratio to our liking. We put in about 2 tablespoons of freshly ground coffee and it seems to work fine. But that's not espresso, it's Americano. We use this more when it gets colder and we find the coffee quite good. We pour coffee into a cup like a jug. We put our warm milk in the coffee cup. I can't let coffee sit that long, so I'd say take it to work and use it in the morning, but don't let it sit all day. Although it stayed quite warm when I realized there was some coffee left later in the day. Of course that was sad! Therefore, I would not recommend letting coffee steep for several hours. Unless you like the bitter taste of coffee (no judgement). Actually everything is good and high quality. But I recommend pouring the brewed coffee into a mug and adding all your preferences. Let it sit for at least 3 minutes or more. I said the coffee was bad but after sorting out the portions of good fresh beans it was actually quite good. But you still can't make espresso here! So I take my words back, it's not a bad thing if you want Americano coffee. Just wish it was a little cheaper. Previous Review: I mean it's ok, but it's not great. I think it will be good for those who make regular American coffee. But if you want espresso then this is not for you. It doesn't seem to be leaking so it will be fine for a trip (but I wouldn't trust it in my bag) and so far it's sturdy and looks good. Thing. There is no coffee grounds in the coffee which is nice. But I see that this has some design flaws. Those are the ones that caught my eye. Firstly when you press the plunger it's hard to lift but I think why you have to lift it when you add coffee and water. I've also noticed a lot of extra good coffee liquid getting stuck under the plunger (see photo), so that's pretty wasteful. It doesn't leave much room, if you want to add milk you have to open it and pull the plunger back out (which I tried but the coffee was pretty bad again). I think you can pour it over it. If you want bad 7/11 coffee, you need this, jajajaja. Someone else pointed out that the coffee keeps brewing and then leaves you with a bitter, even more unpleasant tasting coffee.

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • too silly
