I bought this to use at work as the only other French press I have is a 32oz Bodum which seems a little overkill for personal use at work. First off, this is a great French press if you like black or sweetened coffee. Not great if you need to add cream, and not great if you're looking for a french press for your car trip. I personally don't add cream to my coffee, so that's not a problem. Complaints that after brewing it is impossible to put sugar, they just put it along with the ground. never…

Perfect for a few months but I can no longer use it and I will buy it again. This design was a great solution to work with since I was moving and couldn't find time to use a regular coffee maker. And it kept my coffee hot long enough for me to pour before my shift and as long as the lid was on it stayed hot until I wanted to drink it a few hours later. Also, it didn't leak at all. But after a while all the pads stretched out or something like that and it became very difficult and messy to use…

Fantastic idea but too small

Really like this portable french press. I bought this for my husband who likes to take a french press with us when we stay at our parents' house or when we travel. The first thing that happened was that the piston unscrewed from the baskets and they got stuck in the bottom. We managed to screw it back in and out - and that was before we even made coffee! I hope this doesn't go on. The whole point of this was that my husband could quickly make a cup for the street or someone else's house, and he

No big deal... best in French presses

Update 21st November: I am changing it to 4 stars. This thing grew on me after a while. Still a little pricey with some design flaws but I like it now. We just had to figure out the ratio to our liking. We put in about 2 tablespoons of freshly ground coffee and it seems to work fine. But that's not espresso, it's Americano. We use this more when it gets colder and we find the coffee quite good. We pour coffee into a cup like a jug. We put our warm milk in the coffee cup. I can't let coffee sit…

The best ever! DO IT and you will never look back!

The first time I had a delicious cup of coffee with this filter was at a friend's house last weekend. She has 7 different types of coffee makers at home ranging from $100 to $3,000. She is very knowledgeable and made me a cup with most of them. I was looking for the thickness of an espresso shot, but a cup of coffee, not a shot. The body of the cup is very important to me. I'd rather not drink coffee at all than disgusting liquid coffee. I admit that the overall experience of eating and…
