First look at ITX

I'm using a 65w Intel processor, a 30w Asus ITX mobile phone, a 2.5" SSD, m2-nvme, a m2 WLAN card and a 75 W graphics card (Radeon RX 460 single slot). The whole thing is powered by a 250W Pico power supply with a 240W AC/DC inverter. The Radeon is slightly less powerful than the 1050TI, so it's not bad for a mid-range gaming HTPC. The pico-power supply and inverter are probably a bit smaller for this application, but it's either 1 DC input (1 inverter) or 2 inputs, meaning you need to buy 2 separate inverters. I wish they made a 300w inverter and the pico power supply is 300w but it looks like they will only max out at 240/250w. So far everything is working fine. I haven't attempted to measure actual power consumption with a Kill-A-Watt device, but I may update this review in the future if I do. The most annoying part was finding the correct size PCI right angle extension cable. the rest fits. Manufacturer: ADT-Link, model number: r33sl, length: 10cm. This is a fairly expensive cable on this site, but if you can wait between a month and six weeks for delivery, you can get it for half the price on other sites. It's a bit longer (10-15mm) than necessary, so there will be some cable management, but nothing intense. If anyone finds a better PCIe cable please share. Finally, the power button glows white, which is pretty cool. ITX computers are not cheap. The case, power supply, and inverter adapter cost over $150. Not terrible, but not exactly budget-friendly either. Just stepping up the power supply and case can add another $100. However, I love this form factor so much that I won't build anything other than ITX from now on unless it's a server.
