Doesn't fit NIC with PCIE cable

I bought this case to build a small PFSense router and it doesn't work as intended. If you plug the NIC into the top slot, you will not be able to install the PCIE adapter cable because the pin end of the NIC is too close to the side of the case to accommodate the cable. A PCIE cable cannot be connected to the network adapter in the top slot. This product was totally beyond imagination and I cannot recommend it. It also feels very cheap in person and looks like it should cost closer to $20…

Very good case.

Great case, but despite the many options for installing a micro power supply on the back, the round pico power supply is not compatible. However, the metal is not very strong and malleable enough. I was able to go up a size to fit the connector. Use toothpicks to do this gently, then file and rasp to remove any sharp edges. You can use a glue gun to properly attach the connector, double check, but glue gun glue is generally non-conductive and should be a good option for this. Make sure the glue

Just what I needed for my PFSense box

I recently converted an old Mini-ITX machine into a PFSense box, but the old case didn't have the PCIe Dual NIC card bracket, that I added. I needed something with a small form factor that also had a pre-drilled mount for the Pico power connector. The price was right so I took a chance. Exactly what I needed. I installed all the components, including the PCI-e network card, and then ran a PCI-e extension cable from the slot to the card. A previous check showed that the cable between the case…

First look at ITX

I'm using a 65w Intel processor, a 30w Asus ITX mobile phone, a 2.5" SSD, m2-nvme, a m2 WLAN card and a 75 W graphics card (Radeon RX 460 single slot). The whole thing is powered by a 250W Pico power supply with a 240W AC/DC inverter. The Radeon is slightly less powerful than the 1050TI, so it's not bad for a mid-range gaming HTPC. The pico-power supply and inverter are probably a bit smaller for this application, but it's either 1 DC input (1 inverter) or 2 inputs, meaning you need to buy 2…
