Used to improvise on a broken umbrella that closed in the wind. Drill an appropriately sized hole in the stick, attach a pin to a light, short chain, an additional key ring at the opposite end of the chain, attach to the umbrella spoke, done. The umbrella stays open even in the windiest weather.
