Review on 2010-2014 Chevy Keyless Entry Flip Folding Key Fob Case Shell - Remote Key Cover (5 Buttons) by John Miranda

Not an exact replacement. You must make something Mickey Mouse.

Changing the key was torture @$$. I have 13 Sonic, this keychain was glued together so taking it apart was a nightmare and that was the easiest part of it. This whole replacement looks the same, every part, and I mean every part is a little bit. Fractions of a centimeter are different. So you have to disassemble your whole old key fob, the actual key which is in the metal folding part has to come out (push out the pin) and filed (the back part that goes into the metal) to fit in. The replacement and you will need all the replacement parts . The Chevy bow tie covering the screw is a cheap piece of metal with double sided tape on it, but if you're careful you can peel off the old one and stick it over it. I have to give this one fewer stars but it works, you can cut out the blank provided if you like. And it looks beautiful when all is said and done. But you'll need at least a metal file, a flathead screwdriver or something to take apart an old keychain, and patience.

Pros
  • Beautiful packaging
Cons
  • Not everything fits
