Functional good for interior

Product arrived exactly as described but not sure what the screwdriver was for. I used my own tools. The only difficulty was opening the original keychain. I used a YouTube video to walk me through the process which only took about 5 minutes. All in all it took me 20-30 minutes. The original key pin was rusty I think so it took a while to get it out. I may have to glue the back pieces together because they come apart a bit. In general it is functional and looks good.

  • Satisfied so far

Requires a degree of skill but works great

I'm not sure why all the complaints about GM FOB inventory being glued together isn't this supplier's fault. Yes I had to cut my old 2014 FOB with a dremel. It took 5 minutes. Instead of cutting a dual track key at the locksmith shop I just followed the instructions and knocked out the roll pin and then the key blade slid out and fitted into the new FOB. Five minutes. If you do not wind the spring properly, the key blade will work erratically. Just follow the instructions. All in all 15 minutes

Ignition Key Complicated

The spare key is nice in itself. Looks good, looks like a factory key. They send a screwdriver to remove the small screw but they have to send the tool needed to remove the pins from the ignition key. I spent about 5 minutes taking both keys apart and over an hour getting out the pin that holds the ignition key. My 2011 Cruze key quickly got stuck and was very difficult to remove. I also had to sand it down to fit properly as my end seemed a bit long and the groove/hole didn't line up. Watch a…

Great replacement! on Key Shells

I watched a few YouTube videos before making this purchase. I highly recommend you look at them before attempting to replace them as no instructions are included. It saved me a lot of money, about 1/3 the cost. This one comes with a logo on the back, but I am using the original logo for its durability. I wish the original manufacturer's keyboard had screws to hold it in place instead of glue. That would make the exchange too easy. This comes with a screw that you place behind the logo once…

Not an exact replacement. You must make something Mickey Mouse.

Changing the key was torture @$$. I have 13 Sonic, this keychain was glued together so taking it apart was a nightmare and that was the easiest part of it. This whole replacement looks the same, every part, and I mean every part is a little bit. Fractions of a centimeter are different. So you have to disassemble your whole old key fob, the actual key which is in the metal folding part has to come out (push out the pin) and filed (the back part that goes into the metal) to fit in. The…

Wrong clone!

Chevy Cruze, 2015 LT. I must say right away that the swivel key blade mount is NOT the same as the factory version. The cut corners are too flat. You CANNOT take an assembled blade from an existing keychain and slip it into this case, as other reviewers and respondents have incorrectly claimed. The components have the right dimensions but not the right angles. This requires more labor and tools than necessary. The first option is to find a slotted blade cutter, which is largely limited to…
