This item was ok for the price Unfortunately, there was no remote control in the box. There's a multi-select switch on the cord, which will likely replace the remote (unless the remote really is meant to be and removed). The multi-choice switch on the cord doesn't seem to make it easy to turn off the timer. The only buttons there are for different display options, which are actually very pretty and impressive. But this element seems to turn itself off every 6, 8 or 12 hours. I'm not sure because I turn it on when it gets dark and then when I get up in the morning it turns off. Unfortunately, the attached general instructions say nothing about the automatic timer. Also, I don't really think the height is 16 feet. It's really closer to 10 or 12 feet tall. As mentioned above, for the money spent, I'm more or less satisfied. But if I buy another one or replace this one, I'll spend more for a better item. As the saying goes, you get what you pay for.
