Bought these lamps because they give off a warm glow. I used Philips bulbs which are more expensive. I installed these bulbs in an interior light - five bulbs in all. The lightbulbs glowed correctly when installed and I turned off the light. Later that evening I turned on the unit and found the light went almost to zero after about an hour of use. I turned off the lamp, let it cool for about an hour, turned the light back on, and after an hour the lights went out again. Lightbulbs are basically useless after an hour of use. I can't return the bulbs because I threw away the boxes thinking they would be good for the original installation. Do not buy - defective. My Philips bulbs on another light but controlled by the same switch didn't dim to zero, so I know the switch isn't the problem.
