Review on Nikon AF-S FX NIKKOR 24-70mm f/2.8G ED Zoom Lens: Ultimate Auto Focus for Nikon DSLR Cameras by Abhey Rai ᠌

The product is very low quality, not what you need at all.

This lens is still more amateur than professional, unlike the same 14-24 and 70-200. And mainly for those who like to impress others or sometimes even rare "customers". But not with their work, but with the size of the lens. But why do you think there are no zooms at all in real professional photography. Why doesn't Nikon (as well as Canon and the rest) shoot ads about the same 24-70 on their magic zooms? Some may say that advertising is one thing and reporting is another. But look at the same wedding photos taken at 20mm + 50mm + 85mm, and taken at 24-70 and draw your own conclusion. Leave the argument that you may not have time to catch some shot at the wedding to your mom. Not a single professional captures frames at a wedding, as he knows by heart the entire approximate storyboard in advance. I'm not talking about staged shots, which make up 99% of the portfolio. At worst, buy a D700 with this money so as not to change lenses, but to have several ready-made kits in advance. It is only a total victim of marketing that can advise buying this, by and large, not needed on the FF, a crop lens. There's not even much to say here. It is clear that all such purchases do not come from the desire to shoot portraits, or landscapes, or street. But rather, from lust, block the focal lengths from and to. Well, so that the size was larger, weighed more and cost more. In principle, the lens answers all these requests at 146%. So for those who were looking for precisely these qualities in it, you can safely take it, you definitely won’t be disappointed. The rest may be worth considering what it is for you. In general, I hope my review will be at least a little useful, and there will be more beautiful photos)

Pros
  • The lens is well made and just gorgeous. If we consider it in a vacuum.
Cons
  • I somehow brought one from the states, but sold it, never finding any sense in it for myself. Although, of course, I perfectly understand that there are conditions in which it is actually necessary. But those who find themselves in such conditions are unlikely to buy this lens based on market reviews.

as I shoot photo shoots at 85 mm 1.8, I continue. You don’t run into this, but the landscapes are super.
