I've been trying to figure it out for a while but I figured it out and now I know it's just like LegoTM for adults! They are really simple, reliable and easy to use. The first size is more precisely the current one. They are supplied for use with currents up to 15A, 30A or 45A. I understand the max voltage is 240V but please check your application based on voltage, Amos, frequency and AC or DC. Let's put it this way, you can't go wrong using them around the home and buying the right amperage for your application. Now physically. It's unisex or bisexual, your choice! This is because the plastic parts already have contacts inside. What you're doing is crimping (or soldering, but look for proper crimping tools, they're cheap enough) your wire to a bare metal crimp. Then insert the crimp into the right hand red or black plastic sleeve from the end with no metal in it. That's it, job done. Except. Make two or more crimps and now you can connect multiple plastic connectors like Lego to create your own uniquely shaped multi-connector. These "connector blocks" can then be snapped together as if they were custom-made connector sets. Now you know why people love them! I just wish there was a mini 5A version and a free waterproof solution, then I'd only ever need one type of plug in my toolbox. Enjoy!
