Review on Bridgestone Blizzak VRX 195/55 R16 87S winter by Wiktor Wasilewski ᠌

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Expected more from the purchase, but not the worst option.

I installed this rubber a couple of weeks ago, when the average daily temperature was still about 10 degrees above zero (in the morning, when I was driving to work, it was +3-+6). Immediately noticed that when overtaking (with a sharp acceleration) the car starts to "drive" on the asphalt. I have a Mazda 6 (2022 onwards, volume 2.5). I decided that this is a feeling from the transition from summer (Also the bridge is only 19", winter 17" All according to the requirements of the auto manufacturer) and positive ambient temperature. However, now the temperature has dropped below zero, and I didn’t notice much difference when overtaking. As it drove, it drives. And this is on dry pavement. Began to overtake more slowly and more carefully. But it's even more interesting on the ice. In some places the road to work was icy. Decided to test its capabilities. At a speed of 40 I press the gas (and it’s still far from the polyk), the car and tires begin to live their own lives. The wheels are spinning, the car is not moving. When braking, the same situation. Feels like you're skiing. But the steering wheel to the right and left seems to obey decently (again, the experiment was carried out at -3 at a speed of 40 km / h). Haven't tried it in snow yet. I'll write back if possible. Before that, another car had a bridge of the previous generation (I don’t remember the exact name) and behaved much more confidently on the ice. General conclusion: rubber is not bad, but not for that kind of money.

Pros
  • Course stability, not noisy.
Cons
  • Acceleration-braking on ice, almost like on summer. And this at a cost of about 9,000.
