Beginner Intensive

I always use a standard toothbrush, which my dentist often gives after each appointment. The dental office has been mentioning Sonicare for quite some time, but I just couldn't get past the price tag of a toothbrush, no matter the features it had. But after reading what these things can do compared to my brushing technique (I'm not the best at flossing either), I thought I'd start looking into it. for some time (kept in the wishlist and looked at the price). A recent amazon.com coupon dropped the price by $10, prompting me to take the plunge. When it arrived I opened it up and it was already at least 50% charged (green light) so that was nice. My first cleanse with him was surreal. I'm so used to cleaning by hand. With this thing you make a small movement, but the vibration (and it's an intense vibration) does the rest. It felt like my skull was vibrating! The default was "clean", which is what I really need, not necessarily brightening. The whitening option increases cleaning time. What I really like is that it adjusts your pace and lets you brush your teeth for a whole 2 minutes. It wasn't until I used it a few times that I realized how long I'd been brushing my teeth by hand. The vibration briefly changes to tell you to move to a different area in your mouth (top or bottom, front or back teeth, etc.) and it was a nice touch. They say it will, but at least I brush longer and spend more time on each tooth/mouth area. Benefits: Helps brush teeth for 2 minutes (recommended by dentists); Hints area - already loaded out of the box Cons: - a bit expensive in my opinion at the moment - vibration is really strong in "Clean mode"; Use the sensitive mode for sensitive gums - The toothbrush is very high, easy to tip over even in the charging station (which takes up little space) - Only 1 brush (need to buy more for the family).
