Review on Razer Naga Wired Gaming Mouse by Elias Inmune Alv ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The best product, from those that I have viewed, I advise everyone!

And here I am again writing a review about Naga. Reasonable people will ask why I still buy them (especially considering the latest Chroma), and I will say that I'm used to it. My old Naga Chrome did not have any fatal flaws, only one spectrum of LEDs burned out in the wheel, and although the case was under warranty, I broke it faster (well, not me, the cat dropped it). Since I have been using different Raisers for a long time, I can still praise the warranty service, the warranty case is changed without question. This time I bought Trinity not only "by inertia", I really really liked this reincarnation of Naga. She got rid of previous diseases in the form of backlash buttons (which did not interfere, and I didn’t even pay attention to them, but still) and the Philips sensor (as an MMO player didn’t interfere either, but I got tired of recalibrating). And this mouse is still insanely expensive (especially if you remember that this is a wired mouse), but now it is at least somehow explainable. After all, in fact, 3 panels make almost 3 different mice out of it. And the normal sensor makes this mouse even more versatile, and is now well suited for games that require more precise mouse pointing. And the funny thing is that for once Razer does not climb with advertising from every tech blogger, as it used to be. And this is strange, because the new Krakens, that Trinity has become better and more mature or something, and in all aspects. It’s just that many have already been disappointed in the previous controversial devices, they won’t know about the new ones, and the new ones, although they have become better, are still expensive as hell. Therefore, you need to decide for yourself whether the shape of the mouse suits you, and whether you even need these replacement panels at this price.

Pros
  • 1. There are no complaints about the case materials. It is comfortable to hold, does not slip, but most likely this is the same plastic as before, so it will most likely get stuck on the main buttons, as it was in previous models. True, it does not affect anything, except for the aesthetic feeling. The rubber bands on the sides are good too. Normal Teflon legs and a good braided wire. There is a rubber tie for it in the kit if you want to shorten it, or you can remove this tie altogether. 2. The shape of this model has been slightly changed and it is more likely to return "to the origins", nothing has changed in terms of convenience, but if you were sitting on Naga 13-14 years old and / or Chrome version, then you may need an evening to get used to it. 3. 3 interchangeable side panels. You can change the panels depending on the required number of additional keys. They are held on magnets and when changing the panel, you just need to pry it from below to remove the existing one. There is a side panel with two buttons and an elastic band, with 7 buttons in a circle with a small rubber band in the center and a standard 12-key pad for Naga. Hot swapping is supported, you don’t need to reboot anything, you can change them right during operation. All side keys are mechanical on all panels, they click in the same way as in Chrome, that is, well. 4. RGB lighting. 3 customizable zones: wheel, sidebar (only 12 and 7 buttons) and logo on the back of the mouse. 5. The sensor is no longer TwinEye, but PixArt 3389. Thank you for being at least late. And this is the first Naga, which does not play the main buttons. 6 years they went to this. The buttons, by the way, click well, under the main buttons, apparently, Omrons for 50 million clicks. 6. Wheel with side pressing, rubberized, clicks well, but not without drawbacks. 7. Synapse 3.0 software. At the time of writing, it is still in beta, which seems to justify it, but it was not without its drawbacks. Pros: looks better and more functional. You can more flexibly adjust the backlight, macros have learned to read the position of the cursor on the screen.
Cons
  • 1. Noisy wheel, and empty when scrolling. That is, cut-offs are felt when scrolling, but why is it so noisy? 2. Synapse 3.0. I kind of praised it, but there are also a lot of shortcomings. Firstly, not all devices are still supported, and Razer adds support for old ones, well, super-lazy. Why do you have to have 2 programs: Synapse 2.0 for old ones (although since when Kraken 7.1 v2 is old, it’s not clear) and 3.0 for Trinity and other supported devices. There is no problem, they do not conflict, but why? Secondly, 3.0 is unstable. It may fall off just like that, lose the installed module (macros, for example, are an additionally installed module in the program for some reason), it may for some reason create another new default profile and activate it, it may freeze when recording a long macro. To the credit of the program, it does not do this during the game, that is, all these problems will most likely be at system startup and you will find them before the game, but they are not needed at all here. So I would like more supported devices and more stable operation. 3. Yes, the case is still not enough to transport / store other panels. 3. The price is like a horse.
