I decided against my better knowledge based on the reviews for this device. But now I have some buyer remorse as I am not satisfied at all with the quality control of this vacuum pump. Air flowed straight out of the box. As I had used it and it was dirty I felt uncomfortable returning it so I ended up taking the jet and piston chambers apart to reseal them and found an internal gauge leak! Caliber! Phew that was a big disappointment as I was trying to troubleshoot my vacuum and EGR system on my truck and a bad gauge vacuum pump is useless. The leak was slow enough not to be heard, but the pressure on the gauge dropped within 30 seconds. I ended up using the vacuum gauge on the dash to get the reading I needed and ordered a new pump gauge. This caused a lot of hassle and frustration and cost almost as much as the best vacuum pump I originally planned to buy. The moral of the story is that sometimes you get what you pay for. 😕🙄
