dogs eat vitamins well in their food plus i add other herbs like organic alfalfa, seaweed, dandelion, wheat germ etc so i don't have to use them as the packaging suggests (1 teaspoon per 10 pounds of body weight). I supplement a diet of raw oats or brown rice and vegetables/fruit with vitamins. I love the fact that it's recommended for both cats and dogs and contains taurine, which is essential for vision, especially for cats.
