The cover cannot be removed.
Worked great until it was time to refill. Can't remove the lid to save my life. Put it on and off a few times before refilling based on other reviews and it was fine. A few months later I went to the gas station, but he doesn't come off at all. A few people have tried this, using a rubber handle and pouring hot water over it to dissolve the residual sugar. I think I've been using it for a few months. Now it's garbage.
