Terrible with Nikon D800

This is my first non-Nikon flash. My SB910 stopped working and I thought I'd try this for an intermediate flash. I feel like I got what I paid for. The flash seems solid, but the diffuser is difficult to open and flimsy. The flash doesn't always fire and when it does the light quality is terrible compared to my Nikon. Very sharp and bold. The dial on the back doesn't always work and I have a hard time changing the settings the way I want. The unit comes with no instructions so maybe I'm missing something but my first few shots were so bad I decided not to look online for instructions and just returned it. When I tried to take the flash off the camera it got stuck. A few minutes of tightening and loosening finally paid off and the pins were loosened. I'm honestly surprised by all the positive reviews. For me it was a lesson well learned. No more flashes from non-original brands.
