Might be user error but I manually tightened the tow strap on my car then used a wrench after I had it but no later than two weeks after I had it I noticed that it was wasn't. There's nothing left, there's a screw so I'm pretty sure it just came loose again, it might have been user error. So if you buy this make sure you secure it but I wasn't happy that it came loose after that when I tightened it. Back to the wrench it might have been my fault for not over tightening but then again it's a really nice tow strap for the design
