I bought these for kayaking. We go down to the shore like a cowboy, that is, our feet are right in the water. That's why we need shoes that stay wet. They are comfortable and dry fairly quickly, which I wasn't expecting. The soles are thin so you can still feel the stones when walking, but that doesn't bother me. They are definitely stronger and protect the sole better than the foldable flats that some women carry in their purse. For the price it is excellent value for money.
