Browning settings range from 1 to 7. From the image window the results are generally accurate as shown in the image. However, after experimenting with the settings, the results will always be the same for whatever level of browning you set. The stainless steel construction is solid and well made. Retractable guides work smoothly with no issues. This is the perfect family toaster. It's also good enough for small commercial kitchens.
