Item arrived afternoon before departure for 3 weeks with little baggage. It worked incredibly well. We went from the 20's to the 70's. The product works best on bulky items like fleece, down and wool, but t-shirts, socks and underwear have also benefitted from using these compression bags. This is a new way of traveling for me. I highly recommend using them and you will learn how to use them. The only weak point is the plastic zipper, so don't lose it. We didn't because we were very careful. and if you lose one, you can use the zip from any of the other bags, even the ones that are in use. This is one of the great packaging inventions that helped make our journey a success. Honestly.
