Here's what you need to know if you want to buy a cheap webcam and my thoughts on this Vitade 682H Pro HD what a name. I've tried a few of these inexpensive, cheap webcams and they all seem to share the same trait: They deliver the resolution and frame rate that's promised, but there's always a caveat. If you have an auto focus lens you better have studio quality lighting like you are shooting a soap opera otherwise it will focus every 2 seconds. If they have manual focus you won't have this problem, but auto white balance can be hacked like this webcam. It's too much light and the footage starts flickering and flickering all over the place like you're watching a found footage horror movie. I was wearing my wedding ring while recording tabletop gameplay and the reflection of the ring made the band flash like it was having a fit so I had to take the ring off. At least with this weird white balance issue, you can always reduce what you have in excess. Another problem with the autofocus? Good luck with that, unless you're friends with Michael Bay. Thus, this camera falls into the category of the best cheap webcams. It won't replace high-end Logitech, but it's serviceable and does the job.
