I contacted Microsoft's technical assistance through their website, and after they connected to my computer remotely, they determined that the issue is most likely caused by hardware. Overall, I would not advise purchasing this mouse to anyone. If you are patiently challenged like I am, it is in your best interest to look at other possibilities. After suffering for a month and a half, tomorrow I will be purchasing a new mouse from the store rather than purchasing one from Microsoft. Below are some advantages: Very nice raw materials. Excellent ergonomics; the shape is well suited for the hand. Below are some downsides: The speed of the mouse steadily decreases. I have used the manufacturer's software to reset the mouse settings multiple times, and I have reinstalled Windows, but the issue is still present. This issue does not affect any of the other mice. Additionally received the left mouse button. Instead of pressing it once, it is typically pressed twice or even three times. As a result of all of these issues, the behavior of this mouse during use is entirely unpredictable.
