nice, almost perfect (or maybe not)

: I've used this pack 4 times and the stitching hasn't come undone but that will obviously happen soon. It's disappointing because I always watch my gear and never overstuff my bags. I broke down and bought the Osprey Daylite Plus. WOW what a better quality backpack. Good backpack, I am happy with it. It was my third choice before spending a lot of money on a famous brand which I didn't want to do. I felt that none of the descriptions met my needs for spending that much money. I've already returned Teton (I couldn't adjust the straps to my shape, they were too stiff and the chest strap wasn't tight enough). I also sent the rump pump back (it didn't hold up enough and I just didn't like it). But this one: PROS: 1. Perfect size for keys, iPhone or GPS, extras, lunch, sunscreen, bug spray, toilet paper and a small jacket. The hydration pocket has a reflective lining to keep the water cool for as long as possible.3. The straps adjust very well, I'm a female, 5ft 1in, #140. The back doesn't wobble at all on my back and doesn't seem to pull anywhere. 4. My back was a bit sweaty but it was a tough 8 mile hike, 95 degrees, mostly in the sun. All in all it went well, my shirt didn't get wet and I didn't feel uncomfortable. 1. Bubble! Anyone using a black or even a green bubble is stupid. I'd like to take a look inside to make sure it's clean and not floating. I put this in Goodwill and bought Platypus (a product I know I can trust). Also, I connected the tube to my bladder and it's VERY DIFFICULT to disconnect it. Life is too short. 2. There are no attachment points on the outside of the main backpack. I fixed this by attaching these "gears" to the two straps on the side. They work well when I want to attach my jacket or towel to the outside. My trekking poles can be put in the mesh pocket and secured with a gear strap at the top. I'm ready.

Pros
  • hands-free operation
Cons
  • very expensive update
