Review on Bosch GWS10-45P Grinder with Paddle Switch for Improved Performance by Darin Marshall

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Excellent grinder with interesting ergonomics

This grinder is a monster. It's bigger than your standard coffee grinder and even bigger than their Bosch counterparts. To get those extra boosters, you'll feel the difference. My hand is about 6.5 inches from my index finger to the back of my hand and it fits comfortably. The protective case has an intuitive release button that allows you to quickly rotate the contact area. This grinder is perfect for those who want to do everything with it. For example I will use it with chainsaw blades, wood grinders, cut-off wheels, grinders and floor sanders. It will handle them all. I'm not used to paddle shifters. While most paddle shifters are in line with the blade and power cord, this one is on the side. It's not very cool. I've heard that rotating the crank head/gearbox from the motor and drive base by removing four bolts helps, so I'll probably do that. but he definitely needs help in the ergonomics department. But definitely not a deal breaker. If you are not used to compressor tools and other grinders. maybe you don't even notice.

Pros
  • Direct motor cooling for higher overload capacity
Cons
  • Can't remember
