Review on Jewelers Magnifier Magnifying Watchmakers Repair Beading & Jewelry Making for Jewelry Making Tools & Accessories by Amy Mcleod

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Two lenses - good focus all around

My family has been in the jewelry retail business since the 1890's and I have played with my share of bow ties since I was a child. This (20x) contains two lens elements, has good planar (as opposed to spherical) edge-to-edge focus, is assembled and doesn't require a cheap press fit, and easily gets five stars. For those complaining about the magnifying glasses staying in your eyes, join the club. Only in late adulthood did they work without strife. If you have a low BMI they won't fit well under your eyes, but that's not the manufacturer's fault as they all work the same way in that regard. Visually, however, this is above average.

Pros
  • Lightweight and durable thermoplastic body fits your eyes comfortably.
Cons
