What I expected from Car & Vehicle Electronics

Really neat device. When connected to the diagnostic port, it is as accurate as possible, possibly with a few ms delay. I didn't check the GPS because the diagnostic port was working fine, so I can't comment on that. Works great on my 2018 Chevy Truck. Because these HUDs simply reflect what's on the dashboard on the windshield, glare on the device sometimes becomes an issue around midday in the sun or even on bright, foggy days. The companion film attached to the windshield, which is used to capture the projection more clearly, has the properties of a two-way mirror which, when captured properly, sometimes reflects sunlight onto the driver's face, so this is where the placement is concerned can be taken into account. Aesthetically, from the side it looks like there's a small mirror attached to the windshield - probably looks like an obstruction to the driver's view from the side of a passer-by. In terms of practicality, I wanted a device that didn't require me to physically take my eyes off the road. It works out. Where I posted it I can now peripherally control my speed so this is a winner. Considering the price, I knew it wasn't going to be a high-end device where things like random glare count. Bottom line, it's more original than anything else. So if you're looking for a nifty gift idea or just need to have a rudimentary HUD up front, if you can spend $30 and have a look, why not. Also because it is electronics. If you're sitting on the dash, you might want to invest in a windshield blind so it doesn't get hot when you're not driving.
