A few years ago I bought a Brother MFC-J285DW printer copier scanner because it was one of the few that worked with non-OEM ink cartridges. But last week when I replaced the black cartridge I got a horrible "Incompatible cartridge" error. I tinkered a lot, but nothing worked. But these GPC cartridges worked. At least the black cartridge worked. A few glitches but the well written booklet that came in the box told me how to fix them. Is it an upgraded chip? I do not know. I have a printer again. I figured I would have to buy a laser printer/scanner for about $150. Thank you GPC for saving me $150!
