Wow - they work great!

Like others, I ordered this item to warn those entering my driveway. This system does its job very well, right out of the box! don't let it work right away. Seriously, take everything out of the boxes (all items were yours), charge the transmitters until the LED is GREEN, place the transmitter(s) where you want them. Test. Aside from the fact that they needed to be charged, they were actually ready to use. Now, the downside here is that the transmitter batteries actually come pre-connected and I found that they were transmitting out of the box before I put them to work. The problem with this is that you can end up with a dead and dead battery when you receive your transmitter. (If there is no built-in safety shutdown) Everything you need is included, including a screwdriver. The transmitters are VERY sensitive by nature. Easily lifts over 50 feet. Your range can be the same, and if it's too far, you can open the transmitter and adjust the sensitivity as needed. If it's too sensitive, you can get false positives, and it will definitely make you miserable at 3am! Requires 4 AA batteries, or you can plug them in. It is not clear whether they are connected to the network and to batteries, whether they are used. at the end that connects to both the base receiver and the transmitters. I think if a standard USB connector were used it would make things a lot more versatile in terms of power. With transmitters, you only need to connect to a power source to initially charge the battery. The base station ALWAYS needs battery or adapter power. Unlike some other entry alerts, this setup is limited to 8. It doesn't look like you can create an 8 zone setup with multiple transmitters in each zone - 8 zones = 8 sensors - that's it. If you think you need more than 8 sensors, this is NOT the setup you want. Another nice feature of this setup is that EVERY sensor has options for 32 different alerts. You can have them all different or even all the same if you like. Of course it would defeat the purpose if they all sounded with equal attention, but there may be a reason why you want it. From the other designs I've looked at, this warning applies to any number of sensors that are in that one zone. All in all. I think that's a good choice. Low cost, easy to set up, easy to install and just fantastic range - I can easily reach any place I choose. This is NOT Wi-Fi and I can tell you that their range is MUCH greater than what Wi-Fi can offer. I couldn't find out what frequency they use anywhere in the supplied docs or online. (Update 2 - 2020-09-24) In a previous update, I raised concerns that this device did not show FCC certification and responded to inquiries to the company that they could not share the details due to "trade secrets". I shared my concern that a direct email to them was rejected. The refusal made no sense as it is public information in this country. I have since found out that the device does indeed have FCC certification. Also, this device uses a frequency of 433 MHz. This Part 15 device is operational. I continue to rate this device positively - it works very well and works as intended. I would recommend the alarm device without question.
