I have had this air purifier for over a year now and have changed the filters about every 2-3 months. However, when I received the filter I ordered a week or two ago, I was surprised that the black carbon layer had been changed. It looks like felt. Due to this new change, my air purifier is running OVERTIME. It's insanely loud and needs daily vacuuming (which doesn't help much, while the original was easy to clean and greatly reduced the volume). Daily vacuuming doesn't help. The new carbon layer is thick and clogs almost immediately. I am really disappointed with this product. The original was great, why fix something that ain't broke? This new filter really tests my (very expensive) air purifier.
