. The washer that came with it was of very poor quality. I killed the hardware store.

The washer that came with the bracket was of very poor quality. I killed the hardware store and bought the best ones. I also added some WD-40 to allow my arms to move freely. Other than that, this is a great product. I have a "newer" TV that doesn't weigh too much, so I think this backrest is more than adequate for my needs.
