I work in a basement bookstore, and it can get cool. This sweater is PERFECT to keep in the back room. It layers over just about anything, it's cozy, and the pockets are functional.It does fade, though. In my photos, I used blue socks to to compare the color before and after washing. The photo with one blue sock is before washing the sweater; the photo with two blue socks is after washing it twice. I washed as instructed: cold water, reshape and dry flat. Noticeable fading, but I like the broken-in look.Needing to lay it flat to dry was a pain. It wasn't a quick-dry garment, but then again, I'm not spilling food all over myself, so it doesn't need to be washed all that frequently.With this sweater to put on when you get chilly, you won't have to ask your grandpa if you can have his hand-me-downs.
