Review on Black Logitech G604 LIGHTSPEED Wireless Gaming Mouse - Up to 240 Hour Battery Life, Dual Wireless Modes, 15 Programmable Controls, Hyper-Fast Scroll Wheel by Micha Bialik (Eagle) ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Fits the description completely, very satisfying.

I've always had wireless mice. The first with an IR receiver (not a radio! ) A4tech, then a laser Logitech MX600, which worked for 10-12 years, and which I was very pleased with and did not want to change for anything (because of 5 customizable ons). There really were no alternatives. Either with a wire and a bunch of ons, or a non-laser one with a bunch of ons, or a laser + wireless, but only 2 extra. ons. And then the G604 appeared. At first I bought with a grain of salt. But the more I worked, the more I liked it. It turns out that there are not just 8 additional ons (instead of the previous 5 pieces), but they can also work differently in different applications. I'm actually thinking of buying another one of these and putting it on the shelf. Because for the last 5 years I've looked at the mouse/keyboard market and haven't seen anything worthy. I was looking for a new MX600, maybe in a warehouse somewhere. And I still have an MX3000 keyboard (it was a set with an MX600 mouse) and I would buy another one, because there are no alternatives. The keyboard has as many as 32 additional customizable ons, plus a scroll, plus a volume knob (which no longer works due to old age). The ons are igned menus with applications, or quick access to folders . Okay, this review is not about that :) In short, I'm seriously thinking about buying another such mouse, because when its day comes, I'm afraid I won't find a worthy replacement. In short, the G604 mouse turned out to be very good. How reliable it is - time will tell. If you work in CAD, then definitely have it.

Pros
  • 1. Many ignable ons, with the ability to configure different configurations for different applications. For me, it's ok. a big plus, because working in CAD (solid, altium), or surfing the internet, or playing cyberpunk (lol), I use one mouse. 2. Wireless, laser. Once again: wireless, laser. Turn on the movie and climb onto the sofa with the mouse so that you can turn up the volume, or start the next video. You can't with a wire, but with this one you can. IR will not work properly on sofa surface (tested), G604 works. 3. Good weight. I like heavy mice, and this one has a good weight if it costs a battery, and an excellent weight if it costs an alkaline battery. 4. Fast scrolling. I previously encountered this topic and I did not like it, but I changed my mind. It is very convenient to scroll through the specs and datasheets. When I got used to quickly switching between scrolling modes, the thing generally became indispensable. 5. Lack of lighting. I think it's not a secret for anyone that the RGB theme is slowly returning to brothels and casinos, where it came from, and is becoming a bad manners in modding. I am very glad that aesthetics are back in value. The G604 has one small indicator, which is enough. 6. Built-in memory in the mouse. It was an indescribable joy when I realized that the configured Ctrl + C and Ctrl + V work not only on the desktop, but also on the laptop (without any G Hub).
Cons
  • 1. Intuitively clear applications are capable to put in a stupor. The only plus is that you don’t need to go into the settings often. But G Hub is a pain. For example, he could not pick up a game from Steam, so he had to manually enter the address to the exe. Well, there are many such moments when you look and such "what do you mean. " 2. One day, the mechanical on for turning on the super-scroll stopped clicking and fixing. I was upset, I thought I would have to buy a new mouse. But after a while everything worked again as it should. Perhaps some kind of speck got in. But the sediment remained. 3. I saw complaints about a slippery metal wheel. I agree, it's a little unfortunate. After 10 months, of course, I got used to it, but the relief on the wheel should be reconsidered. 4. Side G-ons take some getting used to. In fact, they are well made, well "read" with a finger, a good tactile response. But again, it takes some getting used to. 5. Clicks a little louder than we would like. But again, I'm used to it.
