Review on Wii U Original Game Disc Drive Replacement with Tool - RD-DKL034AND OEM Original by Ronald Cambridge

This disc must be for a non-US region. The logic board must be moved from the old drive to the new drive for the WiiU to recognize the drive. However, the new drive's ribbon cable is a different width than the old drive's and is too narrow to properly fit the old logic board. The drive accepts drives when installed with the old motherboard but still gives the same invalid drive error. Very disappointing as everything else works on my WiiU. I just need a new disc drive to play disc games again. Also, the tool supplied is a star drive pattern, not the three-pointed pattern shown in the advertisement. The star drive tool is useless as nothing on the drive or the WiiU uses the star drive screw. The drive only uses Phillips screws, while the WiiU uses both Phillips and Phillips screws.
