Review on Lexar Professional 2000X UHS II Reader by Jacob Brooks

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The fastest of all cards I have.

This is an overview of the Lexar Professional UHS-II 300Mbps 2000x SDHC 32GB memory card. The summary is short and simple. Everyone is looking for memory cards fast enough to keep up with our high-bandwidth photo and video devices. I have used several cards and this is the best I have ever used. (Used in Nikon D5500 and Sony HDR-CX360 camcorders.) In terms of value, you get what you pay for. In fact, this card didn't cost much more than any serious high-speed card on the market. No hiccups yet either. The devices picked up the card immediately. The only question I have is that with my frequent use this will cause problems and linger over time. If this card gives problems or doesn't work properly I will update this review. If you buy this card I highly recommend using the card reader that comes with it as it is the latest standard that can provide card speed. If you need to buy another card reader, just make sure it's UHS-II compliant and the speeds need to be the same. Here's a quick chart I've put together showing the different speeds with some of my other cards and accounting for the use of different card readers. Tests with SpeedOut v0.5 and Intel Devils Canyon I7 4790, 32 GB memory and Geforce 1080TI. Rosewill USB 3.0 Sandisk 16GB Extreme Pro Internal Memory Card Reader at 95MB/s @ 41.562MB/s Read and 36.995MB/s Write. Sony 16GB Class 10 at 70MB/s at 41.034MB/s read and 10.223MB/s write. Lexar Professional at 300MB/s with 41.288MB/s read and 40.27MB/s write. ANKER USB 3.0 Sandisk 16 GB Extreme Pro 95 MB/s external card reader reads at 87.642 MB/s and writes at 71.123 MB/s. Sony 16GB Class 10 at 70MB/s reads at 76.161MB/s and writes at 10.458MB/s. Lexar Professional at 300MB/s. reads at 86.505 MB/s and writes at 85.324 MB/s. External LEXAR USB 3.0 card reader (included with card.) Sandisk 16GB Extreme Pro 95MB/s reads at 87.642MB/s and writes at 66.006MB/s. Sony 16GB Class 10 at 70MB/s reads at 75.301MB/s and writes at 10.44MB/s. Lexar Professional at 300MB/s. reads at 255.754 MB/s and writes at 200 MB/s. Copying 4.88GB of video and files took 31 seconds and averaged 100-200MB/s.
