Review on Beesmall Extension Mountable Workbench Nightstand Power Strips & Surge Protectors by Michael Jameson

Revainrating 4 out of 5

A good extension that can be screwed to a table or desk.

I have a small hobby electronics soldering station and the extension cord I am using does not fit on the table. I recently received a Beesmall 4 jack and fixed it to a table. After connecting it works perfectly. I also have two working power tool rigs in my garage and first bought extra outlets for tools (drills, routers, table saw, etc.) so I only need one power line from each table. I bought a socket with a 3.6 (1 m) cable without realizing that I needed a little more space. I was able to mount it on the side of the table instead of on top. But I probably should have taken the version with the 3 meter cable. That's my fault, not the design of the device. The two blocks I bought for power tools have 10 foot cords. However, there is a design flaw in the installation that I wasn't aware of. I couldn't drill the starter hole directly with my drill because the screw hole is too close to the AC plugs to drill the hole with a regular drill with a small bit. Finally I just used a marker to mark where I needed to make the screw hole and removed the dowel to drill the hole. But you don't have to be precise with the labeling. While I had plenty of suitable screws to mount the unit, I wish there were 6 screws included (4 for use and an extra 2 in case you drop one). . If I didn't have screws on hand, I'd have to go to the hardware store to buy them.

Pros

Cons
