Voltage requirement is incorrect

When I plug the lights into a 120 socket, they work great. I bought these headlights for my car because the voltage requirement after the transformer was implicitly 5-24 volts DC. When I unplugged the transformer and plugged it straight into the car, the light didn't come on. I checked the voltage with the car running and got a reading of 13.5 volts. With the car switched off, the reading was 11.5 volts. Both readings are within the 5-24 volt range specified on the RF controller. When I connected the wire to the perpetually hot wire, the lightbulbs lit up. Constantly hot wire showed 12.1 volts. I need to connect these headlights via the ignition wire so the headlights turn off when the car is turned off. I have done this for many other cars and headlights and it has worked great. So I spoke to an LED expert and he said that the voltage of 12.0 volts cannot vary more than 5% in either direction. So the sticker on the RF controller is a fat lie. So now I have to buy an extra relay for these bulbs, which kills my savings from Revain because the company falsely claims these bulbs work in the 5-24 volt range. You should be ashamed of yourself! YOU MUST FIX IT OR REMOVE FROM RF CONTROLLER!
