Although I know FDM printing well, I'm new to resin printing (SLA). When I decided to dive into SLA I knew I would need a good facility to wash and dry my prints. I also wanted something nice. I didn't just want a backlit box. At first I couldn't justify the price of AnyCubic Wash & Cure, so I looked for parts from Revain to build my own "beautiful" curing station. When I found a setup I liked, I realized I was spending almost the same amount, so I went ahead and bought the AnyCubic. Honestly, I'm glad I did it. This thing makes washing and curing so easy it's worth it. I set it up in my workspace with a silicone mat and some paper towels and was in business. All I have to do is drop my build plate into AnyCubic and the machine washes away both my print and build plate (bonus). I also have the option to put the print in the basket provided and wash it the same way. After washing, I place the print on a paper towel, dry it, switch the platform container to AnyCubic and let it cure. ADVANTAGES: * Can be used with almost any resin printer. It works just as well with my QIDI Shadow as with AnyCubic resin printers. If you have a very large print (like something that could be printed on an S-Box or Saturn) you will likely have sizing issues, but most prints will fit on this machine. * Comes with additional features that allow you to wash on or off the build plate. * Very easy to use. * Timer options. 2, 4 and 6 minutes. For washing and/or curing.* Stop button that allows you to stop the washing or curing process if necessary* Excellent washing. I mean, this git creates a tornado. It gets into hard-to-reach places. And reverses the spin direction mid-cycle.* Safety - only works when the lid is closed. So you don't have to worry about being blinded by UV light if you accidentally turn it on without a cap (ask me how I know) * Can work with any liquid. I've used IPA, Mean Green, Simple Green, and denatured alcohol. It works great with everyone. (Denatured alcohol works best for me.)* Looks and feels good. It has a minimal footprint and can easily be placed next to a resin printer on an IKEA Lack desk (you FDMs know what I mean, right?). It's durable too. Doesn't look like cheap plastic. Not even a lid. * They have their own Facebook group with active AnyCubic contributors. CONS: Not much to be honest, but if I had to list any. * Long time options. Maybe a 10 or 12 minute option was added *fingerprints right?* I wish it was a little bigger. Or hopefully AnyCubic will offer another bigger station. I plan on upgrading to a larger resin printer at some point, but I'm hoping someone (*cough*AnyCubic*cough*) will come out with a good oversized wash and cure station first.* Extra tanks. I would like a second container for rinsing impressions without changing the liquid (they already offer this in the Facebook group and will hopefully be available on Revain soon). Overall I highly recommend it. It's worth it. It really is like that.
