Better plastic than expected

I bought this set 2 years ago as I wanted to get into disc golf. Well I'm in business. And since then I've bought dozens of much more expensive drives. They are remarkably good for what you pay. I have X-Heat (purple), X-Buzzz 0.5 (yellow) and Pro-D Challenger SS (green). The best thing about these entry-level discs is the plastic. Unlike dx (Innova) or Prime (Dynamic Discs) which tend to break down into cuts, small pieces and splinters, the X's plastic wears down very well and the outer edges hold up better than some of my Innova star discs. The X plastic has a slight rubbery texture which I personally like (remember G-Star). Carrying more traditionally, the Pro-D Challenger SS is a great racquet that I could easily justify playing regularly. This is definitely the lighter side (160-165g) which is desirable for beginners as they have a greater tendency to "flip" when thrown properly with power. However, my X-Buzzz is back in the bag along with the much more expensive ESP Buzzz because they are similar but fly differently on the same cast. And my X-Heat, after becoming "inkillable", became a very reliable roller. I just throw it like a driver and watch it slam to the ground and continue on its way. It doesn't always roll where I want it to, but it always rolls. Bottom line, two of those discs are back in the bag, and the stick is definitely good enough to pocket. FWIW, I also bought an Innova set and gave away all these CDs to friends and kids who are starting out. I keep Discrafts.
