This was exactly the mirror I was looking for - I have bad knees so I had to sit down and do my hair. I have long hair and this was one of the few mirrors I could find that was of a height that allowed me to see my hair as I pulled it up to curl it. Unfortunately, I turned the light on once and the switch broke, so it's "on" all the time. Which wouldn't be so bad - just plug in and use, then unplug - in theory. But it gets so hot that I'm worried it might start a fire, so I have to unplug it two or three times to let it cool down during use, which isn't so handy with aching knees. With no light, even with the lights on in the room, it's too hard to see, and it's not exactly what I paid for anyway - I wanted a backlit mirror.
