Review on Wolo (840) Turbo Compressor & Extended Tank System by Joseph Lang

Perfect System in Tires and Wheels

I purchased a Wolo 840 series turbocharger and oversized tank system for my 2006 Ram 1500 to provide on board air for my Wolo fire truck "The Chief”. Horn (sold separately). This system works! It took me about 12 hours to fabricate all the custom brackets, install everything on the truck, seal the fittings, route the connections and check for leaks. But when everything was ready, it worked perfectly and still works to this day. I mounted the supercharger under the hood on a driver's side frame rail with a 3/8 inch nylon air hose going to the stainless steel braided tank. Outlet hose on the compressor. The tank is mounted on the inside of the rail frame on the driver's side and I have a pressure regulator between the tank and a 1/4" nylon air outlet hose that goes to the control solenoid (also sold separately). ). The output side of the electromagnet is connected directly to the horn, which is also installed on the driver's side. The pressure regulator is set at 65 psi. In the cab I have three control switches: main power, compressor power and a snap switch for the horn solenoid. returns when pressure drops below 85psi. I had to purchase additional air hoses and fittings for my specific application. There are only two problems: 1) There is a leak somewhere in the clear wire-wrapped hose. I'll end up just replacing it with a Hardline. 2) The air filter inlet was crushed during transportation. I just bought a new one for just pennies. Very happy with this product. Does what I need, great!
