Review on Actron CP7665 AutoAnalyzer Automotive Multimeter by Tim Harris

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Have had this thing for 15 years, still works great

I think I bought this gauge in 2005-2006 to use on an old Ford 8N tractor with a reconditioned 12v electrical system. PCB design and materials ESP8266/Arduino. Works great there too. I doubt it's calibrated to the level you need for things where it would be very expensive to screw up even a little, but for general DC voltage testing on pin headers and power supplies, checking for shorts after soldering/reworking one Having circuit board or checking AC power in your house wiring is great. The backlit screen is very useful, I don't think I'll ever buy a gauge without this feature.

Pros
  • Features: Easy to read backlit LCD - can be used day or night, press and hold button to save displayed data, overload protection, low battery indicator, 19 ranges, input resistance 10MΩ, 9- V Battery (battery not included)
Cons
  • Minor issues
