Review on 🐠 SE-720F Seahorse Protective Case with Customizable Foam - High-Performance Solution by Vinay Kolluri

Decently durable waterproof aspect Questionable

Received my case last week and was happy to grab and pull out the styrofoam to use for carrying pistols or a few other essential tools depending on the task at hand . . While the price of this case is way better than the Pelican counterpart, I can't say they're nearly the same. I have a large Pelican travel case with built in wheels that works well between boats and flights. Comparing the seahorse to my pelican shows that there are certain differences between the two. This seahorse case only has 2 clasps, which is common for small cases, and the clasps seem a lot less sturdy than the Pelican. The airlock in the Seahorse is under one of the latches, which is a bit odd but still works. I think the clasps are functional although not too strong and the unconditional lifetime guarantee eliminates any concerns about them failing. My main gripe with this case compared to the Pelican is that the gasket doesn't fit completely in the center of each wall. What I mean is that there are obvious gaps between the lid and the body of the case even when latched. It withstood pressure drops for a while (I know, because when it was removed from a hot car, brought into a cool house, and opened, there was a hiss of decompression before the latches fully disengaged), but I don't dare to swim in the sea with this case. You get what you pay for, and whether it's waterproof or not, it'll probably serve most of your needs, as will mine.
