Review on BOYA M1 Lavalier Microphone: Enhance Audio Quality for Smartphones, DSLR Cameras, Camcorders, PC & More by Abhi GC ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Not a bad product, quite normal quality.

Although I have only done a few test recordings so far, I must say that the sound has pleasantly pleased me considering the price. Before then, I had written about a condenser stationary microphone, which involves a great deal of needless things such as poor room acoustics, the installation of the microphone on a table, the location of the microphone, a pop filter, and so on. Right there, everything is straightforward; I hung it on my breast, and you do not need to be concerned about making a sudden movement that will cause a significant drop in the volume of the recording. The speech can be heard clearly, and there is only a slight amount of extraneous reflection. I am going to roll even further. There were issues with direct connection on computers, because sometimes the computer tries to output sound into it (thinks it's a headset), or generally ignores the very fact of connection, so it's more convenient to just trust all this hassle of an external sound card. I use it through an external sound card, the adapter from jack to xlr was good; there were problems with direct connection on computers; the adapter from jack to xlr was good. Mac, Windows, and Linux were all tested.

Pros
  • a high level of sonic quality for the price - long cable - includes both the casing and the battery
Cons
  • - There is no way to see if the battery is sitting down; - The preamp is quite large in comparison to the microphone itself; - It might not start right away when it is linked to a computer, but the problem can be fixed.
